Badrinath Ki Dulhania Trailer Launch Sizzles

DSC_5657The trailer launch of Badrinath Ki Dulhania was not less than a wedding saga. To begin with, the lead actors, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, set the stage on fire with their dance. The trailer shows the actors in a different avatar and their chemistry is sizzling, as always. Karan Johar, who was also present at the trailer launch, addressed the media with great enthusiasm. Also present was Vijay Singh from Fox Star Studio.

Karan Johar On The Film

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second love story franchise from Dharma Productions. We promise to make three and, for that, the audience needs to make sure that this part works as well. Varun and Alia will do all the three franchises and Shashank Khaitan will helm all three films.

Varun Dhawan On Preparing The Role

I was very nervous to do it but Shashank was very supportive. He told me to forget my past hits and characters and reinvent myself. At this moment, I am feeling nervous as if this is my first film and I hope my character Bhadri gets all the love and support from the audience.

Varun Dhawan On His Journey With The FIlm

This journey was full of ups and downs and I mean it in the best possible way because my character changes as the film progresses. It is more emotional than the other films I have done. This film has a lot of fun and frolic. There were times when I snapped at everybody on the sets.

Both the characters are very interesting. Varun and Alia were also entering a world they had never seen before. We had to get their language correct. However, it was great fun to work with them. As for the rest, well, the film will speak for itself.

Alia Bhatt On Her Shooting Experience

There was a scene when Varun has to drink a lot. It was the most epic experience. There was a time when Varun couldn’t even stand on his own but he was telling Shashank, I am all fine. The scene had to be intense and every time we went off camera, everybody was laughing. Varun was thinking he was absolutely sober.

Shahshank Khaitan On Sketching The Characters

I come from small-town Nashik. I don’t try to make a film that is urban or rural. This is the story I know and this is the story I wanted to tell. I tried experimenting with an urban story but Karan’s reaction was not very pleasant, so I changed my mind. But, honestly, these are the characters I know and these are the characters I can write. This is the story I really wanted to tell.

Vijay Singh On The Release Of The Film

We have a great cast, director and, of course, Karan Johar. This film will release everywhere in India and abroad too. It’s a great film and it needs a good release.
