EMMA Who would have thought Emma Watson would be ruling the Indian box office. Well, she is! She has managed to pull Indian audiences to cinemas with her latest Disney offering, Beauty And The Beast. Full credit to Disney India for going all out with the live action version of Beauty And The Beast. From getting Emma Watson’s special message for her fans in India to ensuring the movie’s marketing strategy pivoted on the Indian audience’s affinity for Emma Watson. It’s a tactical move that struck gold at the box office. In spite of releasing in fewer screens than Phillauri, a film that starred Anushka Sharma and top Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, Beauty And The Beast has gone from strength to strength at the box office. It’s a family favourite, we hear! The success of this movie and many other English titles released which in the first quarter of 2017 reestablish the fact that there’s a significant and steady surge in the growth of and demand for Hollywood movies in India. We also hear that Disney has some great plans with their upcoming releases Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, Pirates Of The Caribbean Salazar’s Revenge and Cars 3! Here’s to a blockbuster summer at the box office!
