Guess Who?

The adage goes ‘make hay while the sun shines’, but we advise you to make sure the sun is indeed shining. This filmmaker has been churning out duds one after another but, thanks to his lucky stars, he is able to churn out movies one after another. Every time this director makes a film, he tries to make it bigger than the previous one and he always succeeds.

For his next movie, he has roped in an actor who was projected as the next big thing a few years ago but who flopped very badly. Still this director thought he could make a saleable movie with this actor.

Now this actor, whose career is flagging, didn’t want to do this film, so he thought he would quote the bizarre sum of Rs 3 crore, to scare off the director. And guess what? The director convinced his producer, a new entrant to the industry, to cough up the money.

Now the film is underway but, with this actor being paid so much, the project is just not viable. But then this is what happens here and we blame it on whomever. Sad, but true!
