‘Happy’ New Year?

A lot of interesting films are releasing this year. Kaabil, Raees, Jolly LLB, Jagga Jasoos, Bahubali, Baadshaho, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Tubelight, Crack, Golmaal 4, Padmavati and Tiger Zinda Hai are all big on face value. They star some of the biggest stars of Bollywood and should be able to do phenomenal business at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil are the most-awaited films in the beginning of the year. Salman Khan’s Tubelight and Tiger Zinda Hai will also be big hits. Basically, all the Khan films and the upcoming Yash Raj Films will do great business this year.

The promising films of this year are Salman Khan’s Tubelight and Tiger Zinda Hai, and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and 2.0. They will work for sure because they have a strong star cast or are rather hero-centric films. Also, they have good content. Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Ok Jaanu and Arjun Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend will do average business and we can’t expect much from these films.

The two films, Kaabil and Raees, are looking good from their trailers. I feel these two films will do great business. After that, I think even Akshay Kumar’s film Jolly LLB 2 will do well. The film that I think will do exceptional business is Bahubali: The Conclusion. The reason these films will work is their star cast and their makers. Other films like Ok Jaanu featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur will do average business.

Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and 2.0 top the chart this year. Jolly LLB 2 is a very exclusive film, content wise, and 2.0 also looks very promising. The other film I am looking forward to is Bahublai: The Conclusion.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, Slaman Khan’s Tubelight and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 are the biggies of this year. They will definitely work because of their content and star cast. I am waiting to see the trailers of other films but, for now, I think these are going to be the hit films of this year.

I am looking forward to watching Salman Khan’s Tubelight and Tiger Zinda Hai. I have a feeling that Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 and 2.0 are very promising. 2.0 looks like a surprise package with Akshay and Rajinikanth together. All these films will do great business at the ticket window and any of them might break box-office records.

According to me, the top films of 2017 are Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Salman Khan’s Tubelight. These two films seem to have strong content. Bahubali: The Conclusion, 2.0 and Jolly LLB 2 will do average business, collections-wise.

Bahubali: The Conclusion will be the first to top the charts in 2017, followed by Salman Khan’s Tubelight and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is going to be a blockbuster. I would even call it the next Bahubali.

Akshay Kumar-starrer Jolly LLB 2 is a sure-shot winner this year. Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai and Tublelight are next in line. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s yet untitled film directed by Imtiaz Ali also looks like a big film. In the beginning of the year, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil will make for a clash of the Titans but both films are great and will do well.

Bahublai: The Conclusion is also a big film this year. Among the others, Naam Shabana, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Half Girlfriend and 2.0, will do very well. Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando 2 seems to be good and of a different genre. Vidyut is returning on screen after a long time and I think he will be good. Gomaal is a big franchise, so Gomaal Again will be a success and Rohit Shetty is a winner. Also, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati will be great and the combination of Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone looks is very interesting. To wrap the year, Tiger Zinda Hai will be a good and a happy end to the year.

In my opinion, the most promising films of 2017 will be Padmavati, Tubelight and Bahubali 2. Raees will also take a very big opening. OK Jaanu also looks very good. It is a multilingual film and this will work in its favour. Also, the chemistry between Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor seems fresh.
