Dhrishyam Films is back again with yet another powerful drama-thriller, Rukh. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role along with Adarsh Gourav, Smita Tambe and Kumud Mishra playing pivotal parts. The film is slated to release across India on October 27, 2017.
Director Atanu Mukherjee has written the story of Rukh which talks about the journey of a boy rediscovering his lost connections and family ties by confronting the secrets and his memories.
Mukherjee says, “Rukh is an intimate portrait of a family in flux, inspired from a few real life events and characters. It deals with themes we can all relate to. I’m really happy that I have got to make my debut film with such a talented team and looking forward to the release of the film.”
Manish Mundra, the founder of Drishyam Films and producer of Rukh says “Rukh is a very special film for us since it is a story we have mentored from the start with the Drishyam-Sundance Screenwriters Lab. We are very happy with the way it has shaped up and can’t wait for our audience to see it.”
The film was a part of the inaugural Drishyam-Sundance Institute Screenwriters Labs 2015 and a part of NFDC India’s Film Bazaar Recommends 2016.
