A Musical Evening With Sarbjit

The makers of upcoming film Sarbjit hosted a musical evening in honour of late Sarabjit Singh at the Rangsharda auditorium in Mumbai. The event was attended by Randeep Hooda, Omung Kumar, Darshan Kumaar, Dalbir Kaur, Vashu Bhagnani, Bhushan Kumar, Jackky Bhagnani, Sandeep Singh and Deepshikha Deshmukh, among others.

The evening started with the Sarbjit team lighting a lamp followed by a two-minute silence and a musical performance. The artistes who put together the soundtrack of the film took the stage. Composers Shail-Pritesh started the show with a rendition of the theme song, which was followed by a performance by Tanishk Bagchi and Shashi Shivam.

Since Shafqat Amanat Ali couldn’t attend the event, his song Rabba was sung by Raja Hassan. Amaal Mallik’s soulful rendition of Salamattouched everyone’s hearts but it was Sonu Nigam’s Dard that stole the show. Nigam was accompanied on the guitar by Jeet Ganguly, who did an exceptional job with the acoustics. Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan then changed the tempo and emotionally charged atmosphere with their energetic track Tung lak.

After every performance, Bhushan Kumar and team presented a token of appreciation to the respective artistes and also thanked every lyricist, composer and singer for their support to the film.
