PeeCee’s ‘No’ To Ludhianvi Biopic


Ever since Priyanka Chopra made her presence felt on global entertainment platforms with her work in Hollywood, the actress has taken a sabbatical from the Hindi film industry, that is, after her last release Jai Gangaajal. But industry reports had been saying that the vivacious and talented actress might come back with a bang and collaborate with her Bajirao Mastani director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to play the lead heroine in the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic. The actress was to portray the character of poetess Amrita Pritam and her relationship with Ludhianvi. Now news is that, after many discussions, Priyanka Chopra has once and for all turned down the offer by Bhansali.

This particular project of SLB has been in the initial stages for a long time. Along with Chopra, names like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Irrfan Khan were being tossed around for the male lead of this movie. However, nothing has been finalised yet and the film
