Ever since Marathi film Sairat created history at the ticket counter and Karan Johar bought the remake rights to produce it in Hindi, this has been one of the most eagerly awaited movies of next year.
Sone pe suhaga, Johar has roped in Jhanvi Kapoor (Sridevi’s daughter) and Ishan Khattar (Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother). He has also decided to rope in Shashank Khaitaan to direct the film. Khaitaan has delivered two back-to-back bumper movies in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Well, the film is all set to go on floors on December 1 somewhere in North India and will release in the first half of 2018. We’re also told that this is not going to be a frame-by-frame copy of Sairat and will be a completely different take by Khaitaan. In other words, this remake will be an adaptation of the original.
