“Salman Has A Heart Of Gold”

Bhushan Kumar, Chairman & MD, T-Series on Salman Khan – the superstar, the philanthropist and the best friend one could ever have

Salman Khan is the country’s most beloved superstar and one of the nicest human beings in the film industry. His popularity is not limited to this country as he has a fan following all over the world. Also, he seems to get younger with age, and looks more and more handsome every year!

My association with Salman has been a great one. We worked together in Lucky, and then later in Ready. T-Series has done the music for most of his biggest hits: Bodyguard, Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and several other films. But my equation with him is not limited to work. I have known Salman for a very long time and he is a dear friend. In fact, his family and his friends trust me as much as Salman does and they give us the work of all his films, which I am proud to be associated with.

Salman has always supported us. At one call he attended my dad’s event, Suron Ke Rang, just like a family member and went all out in being a part of the event. He went all out to promote my wife’s film Yaariyan on the television show Bigg Boss, and it shows that he has faith in our product.

He has a heart of gold. If there is anything I need, I know he will oblige without question. He has also changed lives, not just through entertainment but by helping people in times of crisis.

Over the years, Salman has acquired cult status and his films’ box-office performance does not affect his popularity. With every new film he does, he pushes boundaries and creates yet another box-office record that only he can break with another hit. It’s unique to his personality – his style, his charisma and his ability to connect with the audience, with family, friends and people around him. There is nothing fake about him. What you see is what you get. And with Being Human and the charity he does, his compassion makes him the finest person I know.

Salman has always been a pillar of support to me and to the entire T-Series family. We consider him a part of us because he has worked with us for so long and we have done some of our biggest musical work for his films. I always look forward to working with him.

I wish him all the love and happiness for his birthday and, knowing Salman, it will be a grand celebration. Here’s hoping he surprises us with even bigger films and keeps raising the bar for the industry.
