Finally, after much speculation, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s much-awaited Imitaz Ali film has a title. The film, produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainments, is called Jab Harry Met Sejal. Well, that’s not all. Shah Rukh Khan has made another important decision regarding the release of the film.
As we all are aware, the film was initially slated to release on August 11, 2017, alongside Akshay Kumar’s satire Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, but now the film’s release date has been moved up to August 4. Not only does this avert a big clash between two superstars at the box office, it also gives Jab Harry Met Sejal the advantage of two long weekends.
How? We’ll tell you.
Interestingly, the Monday following August 4 is Raksha Bandhan, a holiday. The second week too has a long weekend, with Independence Day falling on a Monday again. How cool is that? Furthermore, with this intelligent move, both these films will not eat into each other’s business. Needless to add, King Khan has, once again, set an example for the industry to follow.
PS: Since the film has been produced by SRK’s Red Chillies, the Baadshah is finally being able to play his cards smartly, unlike in the past.
