Trailer Troubles

The buzz around a film usually spikes when its trailer releases, heightening the curiosity of the audience. But with these two particular movies that are slated to release next month, it’s quite the opposite. As their release date approaches, curiosity levels are rising because the trailers of these films are not yet out. Yes, we are talking about Anushka Sharma’s Pari and John Abraham’s Parmanu.

Pari is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 9 and Parmanu on February 23. And, forget the trailer, even the teaser of these films has not been made available to the audience. The films are clashing with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Hichki, respectively, whose trailers were made public a couple of weeks ago, making sure that the audience knows what they are waiting for. But Pari and Parmanu are taking ‘being mysterious’ quite seriously. So, after numerous calls from the media regarding this particular approach, we too asked them the same question – WHY?!

PS: Sources close to Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment tell us that Arora and her team are waiting for the announcement of the release date of Padmavati, and only then will they go ahead with their plan of releasing their movie. Arora, who will be working with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in one of her forthcoming movies, doesn’t want any of her current releases to clash with Padmavati. Sweet, isn’t it?
