TV Series 24 In Hindi

Here’s what’s NOT breaking news. Anil Kapoor, who played a cameo in the eighth and final season of the political drama series, 24, in the US, is all set to remake the serial in Hindi. He’s acquired the rights from News Corp-owned 20th Century Fox Television Distribution and is already in negotiations with top TV channels in India.

However, what no one knows is that this will be the costliest serial ever to be made in India. If sources are to be believed, each episode will cost over Rs 2 crore. Incredible, isn’t it?

PS: Ketan Mehta had re-hashed the same theme for a serial featuring Rajeev Khandelwal some time ago. It was called Time Bomb but thanks to its low TRPs, it, er… bombed, and was discontinued.
