Written and directed by Gokul, Junga starring Vijay Sethupathi in the title role is a gangster comedy. The film which also stars Sayyeshaa, Madonna Sebastian, Yogi Babu, Saranyan Ponvannan, Radha Ravi and Suresh Menon is pivotalr roles. Music for the film is composed by Siddharth Vipin. Makkal Selvan. Give him any role, and Vijay Sethupathi more than excels. Be it a pizza delivery guy or a dreaded criminal, his physicality, his performance, Vijay manages to imbibe every single aspect of the characer he is playing. Junga is no different. He gives us glimpses in the trailer of the film. Maintiaining the funny quotient and at the same time doing it with a straight face, as he is also a don, he is brilliant. How the character translates throughout the running time of the film, will be something that the audience will definitely want to watch out for.

The Actresses. Saranya Ponvannan is the ultimate on screen mother in Tamil cinema. Though she made her mark playing serious mother roles, her comedic take on being an onscreen mother has also been widely accepted. The simplicity with which she shifts from the dramatic to the comedic, is what makes this National Award winning actress stand out. In Junga she plays Vijay's mother. Check out the bit in the trailer where she introduces herself as 'Don Amma' - mother of a don!

The film has two leading ladies, Sayyeshaa and Madonna Sebastian. Both actresses have managed to make their mark with their first films and the fact they are part of a much-anticiapted project like this says a lot about their talent. Between the two of them, Sayyeshaa and Madonna have worked with most of the top actors in Kollywood. How their characters are connected with Junga, will be something to look out for.

Comedy. Yogi Babu has emerged as one of the most sought after comedy actors in Tamil cinema. His unconventional appearance and of course the style with which he makes every role his own, has made popular among Tamil audiences. We see glimpses of  his chemistry with Vijay Sethupathi. As the don's assistant he should generate enough laughs to make Junga a fun film.

Junga is all set to hit screens this Friday. The film will be clashing with the Trisha starrer Mohini. Here are our three reasons to watch Mohini.
