3 Reasons to watch Vishwaroopam 2

Writer-director Kamal Haasan returns with the sequel to his 2013 film Vishwaroopam. An action spy thriller, the film had its fair share of controversies before its release but it received immense love from the audience. How much of this was a result of the controversy we will find out when the second instalment releases.

The film is produced by Kamal Haasan, Chandrahasan and V Ravichandran under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Aascar Films Pvt Ltd. It stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role along with Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur and Rahul Bose in pivotal roles. Music is by Ghibran.

1. Kamal Haasan said this film was not an afterthought and that Vishwaroopam was written as a single story. But given the length of the final material, he decided to split it into two films. So because of the engaging nature of the first part, the second instalment is also expected to have similar thrills, twists and turns.

2. The first film introduced us to Wisam, Nirupama, Omar and Ashmita. This film promises to explore the relationships they share, what makes them the people they have become and more. At least that is what we can gauge from the promotional videos and trailers. That should be an interesting journey to take.

3. Action was an important part of the first film and the flavour is maintained in the second part as well, says Haasan. The edge-of-the-seat sequences and the mind games that Wisam and Omar played is what made Vishwaroopam an engaging film. This sequel is expected to toe a similar line.
