Akshay Kumar reveals an interesting connect between ISRO and Mission Mangal release date

The trailer of Mission Mangal was released today at a star studded event.

During the trailer launch, Akshay Kumar talked about the connection between the release of the film and ISRO. He said, “ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) was formed on August 15, 1969. We didn't realise this earlier, very recently we got to know that ISRO is completing 50 years exactly on the day this film is getting released. It's a complete coincidence and we are very happy that we are releasing this film on the 50th Anniversary of ISRO.”

The film stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles.

Mission Mangal is a true story of scientist, Rakesh Dhawan, played by Akshay Kumar and Tara Shinde played by Vidya Balan who leads a motley team of scientists who overcome their personal challenges and failures to serve for the biggest mission.

Presented by Fox Star Studios, the film is directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by Cape Of Good Films and Hope Productions.
