Avengers: Endgame that released three Fridays ago is still going strong. There seems to be no stopping to the film that has broken and created new records at the global and Indian box office. After its third weekend, the film stands at Rs 346.34 crore at the Indian box office.
The golden run of the Russo Brothers directorial is affecting the business of other Hindi films that are running in theatres. Blank starring Sunny Deol and debutant actor Karan Kapadia had a dull performance, earning Rs 4.22 crore after its first week. Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Ishita Dutta and Sonnalli Seygall’s Setters disappointed at the ticket counters and raked in Rs 0.55 crore after its first week.
Animation film Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka that released last Friday also tanked at the box office and collected Rs 1.65 crore after its first weekend (all formats included). This trend was, however, disrupted by Student Of The Year 2 that hit the screens last Friday. It survived the Avengers: Endgame storm fairly well. The film starring Tiger Shroff and debutantes, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria earned Rs 38.83 crore after its first weekend.
