Avengers: Endgame weekend revenue pattern more stable in India than US

Avengers: Endgame is first film in India that collected more than Rs 50 crore on all the three days of its first weekend

Among all the releases at the Indian box office till now, Marvel's Avengers: Endgame was the top grosser in India as far as its first weekend is concerned. Endgame, in its first weekend, surpassed the weekend collections of all the Hollywood releases in India and the magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion. Normally, any film that releases in India follows a set pattern for the weekend earnings. If a film releases on a Friday, Saturday's revenue is higher as compared to Friday and it shows a further jump in the numbers on Sunday. However, that is not the case in the US where generally, Friday's numbers are higher and then a constant drop is seen from the second day of the film's release.

But as far as Endgame is concerned, it is the first film in India that collected more than Rs 50 crore on all the three days of its first weekend. The film collected Rs 52.80 crore on day one, collected Rs 51.11 crore on day two (with 1.30 per cent drop) and collected Rs 52.03 crore on day three (with 1.80 per cent jump from day two). On the other hand, if we look at the pattern of the revenue in US as mentioned in the table below, Endgame earned highest on day one which is Friday, dropped by 30.6 per cent on day two and dropped further by 17.27 per cent on day three, which is Sunday.
