Unconventional stories told in unconventional ways... this is not new to Kollywood. The recent success of Super Deluxe has proved that Tamil audiences accept wholeheartedly a story well-told. Now another film that has managed to create a buzz dince it has been announced is Chimbu Devan’s multi-starrer Kasada Tabara. The first look motion poster of the film got an amazing response and recently it was announced that the film will have not one, but six music directors. the reason being, the film is divided into six chapters.
Talking about the film Chimbu Devan says, “It was entirely a different and phenomenal experience to work with bunch of talented actors and technicians. Perhaps, it might sound to be a stereotypical statement, but taking a look at star-cast and technicians, it is definitely going to be proved right. Name anyone in this league - Harish Kalyan, Sundeep Kishen, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi Amaran, Regina, Cassandra, Vijayalakshmi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, each one is known for their unique performance style. In addition they have never been in a hurry to choose their films. The technical team also has some of the biggest names. From the well-celebrated iconic Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan to current sensations like Ghibran and Sam CS, it’s unimaginably a huge boon to Kasada Tabara. I am thankful to producers V Rajalakshmi and Trident Arts R Ravindran for trusting this concept and helping to materialise it. The response that that the first look and motion poster has received, it has given us the confidence for the audio and trailer launch which will be followed by the worldwide theatrical release of the film in July 2019.”
There was some talk that the film is an anthology Talking about the same the director says, “I would like to clarify that our film doesn’t belong to this genre. Anthology is a collection of short stories that has no connection between one segment and the other. In contrast, Kasada Tabara is a film with single story encapsulating six portions.”
Kasada Tabara is produced by V Rajalakshmi for Black Ticket Company in association with R. Ravindran of Trident Arts. The film has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan, Ghibran, Sam CS, Premgi and Sean Roldan. MS Prabhu, Sakthi Saravanan, SD Vijay Milton, Balasubramaniem, RD Rajashekar and SR Kathir have handled cinematography. Kasi Viswanathan, Raja Mohammad, Antony, Praveen KL, Vivek Harshan and Ruben are the editors involved in the film with Jayakumar taking care of art department.
