What’s It All About?
A global film festival created for the people of south-eastern Michigan, the Cinetopia International Film Festival (CIFF) features some of the best films from the world’s renowned film festivals, including Sundance, Cannes, Venice, and Toronto. This year, CIFF features 55 films and more than 120 screenings over the course of 10 days. The festival will also host a special open-air screening of Only Yesterday on the north lawn of the DIA. The global festival will host films from China, Africa, the UK, the Middle East, Israel and more.
INDIAN CONNECT
Leena Yadav’s Parched has been shortlisted as an entry from India. It is a bitter-sweet tale of four ordinary women, from the parched rural landscape of Gujarat. It highlights their inner struggle to face their own demons, their individual boundaries and their own personal war. It is a drama that sheds light on female subjugation and liberation.

Arab Film Festival
The Arab Film Festival is one of the longest-running programs at the Arab American National Museum, and aims to bring the best films from the Arab World and Arab-American community to the doorstep of metro Detroit as part of the festival.
