Two films released last week, Raaj Shaandilyaa's Dream Girl and Ajay Bahl's Section 375. Dream Girl has had an amazing run at the box office as the film became the highest opener of Ayushmann Khurrana, crossing the 50-crore mark in just four days of its release. On the other hand, Section 375 had rather a slow start and continued to have a slow run at the box office.
However, on Monday and Tuesday, both these films did stable business. Dream Girl on Monday had collected Rs 7.43 crore and on Tuesday it collected Rs 7.40 crore, registering a drop of less than 1 per cent between the first two days following its first weekend. On the contrary, Section 375 saw 2.86 per cent hike from Monday to Tuesday. The film collected Rs 70 lakh on Monday and it earned Rs 72 lakh on Tuesday.
Apart from these two films, Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore, which released on September 6, is also going strong at the box office. Even though the film is in its second week, its Monday and Tuesday collections are scoring high. The film earned Rs 3.88 crore on Monday and Rs 3.85 crore on Tuesday, again showing a drop of less than 1 per cent. Chhichhore has put up a healthy total of Rs 98.42 crore in 12 days at the ticket counters.
