Emraan Hashmi's first look from Netflix Original Bard Of Blood released - read details

Emraan Hashmi has his hands full. While he will be seen in films like Chehre, The Body, Father’s Day, Mumbai Saga, the Hindi remake of Malayalam film Ezra, and the recently announced Vayusena, he will also be part of the Netflix Original series, Bard Of Blood. There has been enough buzz surrounding the seven-episode series, based on a novel titled The Bard Of Blood by Bilal Siddiqui, ever since the makers announced the project.

The book is based on the murder of ex-RAW boss, Lieutenant General Sadiq Sheikh, by a double agent and gives us a glimpse into the world of RAW and the war-torn Balochistan.

Earlier today, Netflix India took to Instagram to share the first look of Emraan from the espionage thriller. He is seen sporting a bullet-proof vest. They captioned it as: “I spy with my little eye a first look at Emraan Hashmi in #BardOfBlood. Coming soon.”

Emraan shared the motion poster through his Instagram handle and captioned it: “He doesn't exist, so you can. Coming soon, only on @NetflixIndia. #BardOfBlood @iamsrk @redchilliesent @billysiddiqi @_gaurav verma #ribhudasgupta #vineetkumarsingh @sobhitad @kirtikulhari”

Sobhita Dhulipala, who will be seen playing a pivotal part in Bard Of Blood, said to us in an interview that the series will see a lot of action. “I also did some action for this Netflix project called The Bard Of Blood, which I just finished. I was very surprised to find that I am pretty decent at it and I enjoyed it (Laughs). I felt like I can do it without a beard. It was fun. It was all about machine guns. I am very excited about that,” the talented actor said.

Bard Of Blood will be Emraan’s second tryst with the web after Tiger, a ZEE5 Original film, that began streaming last year.

It marks Red Chillies Entertainment’s first collaboration with Netflix India. As per the contract, they will produce two other projects with the OTT giant. Their second venture, Class Of 83 went on floors two months ago. The Netflix Original will star Bobby Deol in the lead.

Bard Of Blood will be produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The series will also star Kirti Kulhari and Vineet Kumar Singh.
