Emraan Hashmi is all set for his upcoming film, Chehre. As he has started shooting for the film with co-star Amitabh Bachchan. He has discovered an age-old connect with Mr Bachchan. As the actor, took to Twitter and revealed that 46 years ago, his grandmother essayed the role of Big B's mother in Zanjeer.
According to his tweet, they shot the first scene of their upcoming film on Saturday, and during the course of their conversation, Hashmi realised that Zanjeer completed 46 years yesterday. He tweeted, "An uncanny coincidence: yesterday was my first scene with Mr Bachchan and in the course of our conversation just realised that yesterday was also 46 years of Zanjeer a film in which my grandmom played a small role as his mother".

Even Big B, on the same day, posted a picture from the sets of Chehre. He wrote, "T 3161 - Another meter down .. started the new film with Rumi Jafry .. "CHEHRE" .. a long-standing commitment, now fructifying .." In the image, the Shahenshah of Bollywood can be seen dressed in a black outfit looking into a phone. To complement the look, the superstar has sported a pair of sunglasses and a black beanie.

Bachchan and Hashmi are coming together for the first time in Rumi Jaffrey's mystery thriller. The film is being produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The film also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dritman Chakroborthy, Raghubir Yadav and Annu Kapoor and is scheduled to hit the screens on February 21, 2020.
While Bachchan will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Hashmi has been roped in for the Hindi remake of Malayalam supernatural thriller Ezra. The Cheat India actor will also be seen in The Body and the Netflix Original, Bard Of Blood, both opposite Sobhita Dhulipala.
