Every single time Akshay Kumar comes out with a film, everyone knows that it is going to be something special. The same goes with his latest outing, Mission Mangal. The team is set to release the film this week on Independence Day and it seems that the lead actor and producer is quite excited about the same.
He insists that this film is for a family audience and in an EXCLUSIVE conversation with team Box Office India, elaborates on it. “I made this film so that my family could watch it. We want more and more people to come, watch and understand what our film is about, irrespective of whether they are educated or not. We want them to understand the true meaning of science, the story behind the Mars mission and how the scientists at ISRO applied the concept of home science and sent an expedition to Mars.”
He further added, “We did not give a documentary feel to the film; we kept it entertaining. Even if we had to convey something, we have used words that everyone can understand; we have refrained from using pure English or pure Hindi.”
Along with Akshay, the film stars talented actresses like Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari. Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film is produced under the banners of Fox Star Studios, Cape of Good Films and Hope Productions. The film releases in theatre on August 15, 2019.
