Exclusive: Vicky Kaushal’s period drama, Sardar Udham Singh will take THIS long to shoot

The current heartthrob of the nation, Vicky Kaushal wowed everyone with his first look from Sardar Udham Singh. While everyone knows that this Shoojit Sircar directorial is a biopic on the revolutionary who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer who was responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, we have some details on the shooting schedule of the film.

The film, a period drama, will be one of the few films in today’s times which will be shot for an entire year. The film has a huge canvas and will be shot over a year’s time in several locations, including Russia and London. In fact, the killer first look of Kaushal was shot in Russia when he was there with the crew recently for pre-production.

2018 was clearly the year of Vicky Kaushal as the actor became the heartthrob of the nation with films like Love Per Square Foot, Lust Stories, Raazi and Manmarziyaan. The josh for the handsome hero went through the roof in 2019 with his Rs 200 crore plus hit, URI: The Surgical Strike. And since then we have seen the actor go on a signing spree. Kaushal already has Karan Johar’s Takht in his kitty and apart from Sardar Udham Singh, he has added on to that with films like Aditya Dhar’s film based on Ashwatthama and Dharma Productions’ horror flick.

Now, with so many films on his plate and a magnum opus like Sardar Udham Singh taking a year, we wonder how the new blue-eyed boy of B-town will manage his choc-a-bloc schedule.
