Hobbs & Shaw, the ninth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, had a good opening with Rs 10.86 crore at the box office. The film earned Rs 39.28 crore in its first weekend but over the weekdays it saw a drop. Overall, in the first week, Hobbs & Shaw had a decent performance as it minted Rs 53.17 crore and stood at fifth position among the Hollywood films released in 2019 so far.
The top four week one Hollywood grossers this year before Hobbs & Show are Avengers: Endgame with Rs 256.52 crore, The Lion King with Rs 77.96 crore, Captain Marvel with Rs 54.93 crore and Spider-Man: Far From Home with Rs 54.58 crore. The total business of Hollywood in India as far as week one is concerned comes to Rs 675.52 crore at the box office. Next week will see the release of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, directed by Quentin Tarantino.
