The ninth installment of Fast & Furious franchise, Hobbs & Shaw has been performing exceptionally well in the west and the trade experts here had high expectations from the film. The film didn't disappoint as it opened with Rs 10.86 crore at the Indian box office and became the third highest Hollywood opener of 2019 after Avengers: Endgame (Rs 52.80 crore) and Captain Marvel (Rs 12.50 crore).
However, the film didn't witness the expected jump over the weekend, reason being the heavy rains in major circuits of India. The weekend collections of Hobbs & Shaw came to Rs 35.89 crore, making the film stand at fifth position among the top weekend Hollywood grossers of 2019. On day two, Hobbs & Shaw minted Rs 11.46 crore at the box office and on day three it collected Rs 13.57 crore.
