Last Wednesday saw the release of three films at the box office – WAR, Joker and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy– all of which created quite a stir at the ticket counters. Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor starrer WAR took the box office by storm. The action-thriller produced by Yash Raj Films became the highest day one grosser of all time and performed exceptionally well by earning Rs 154.62 crore in its first five days.
Todd Phillips’ Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix, is based on the story of one of DC’s biggest villains, Arthur Fleck. The film has fared well, earning Rs 23.17 crore at the box office in its first five days (all versions and formats included).
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy features superstars Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan along with Jagapathi Babu, Kichcha Sudeepa, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Ravi Kishan. The Hindi version of the historical drama has clocked Rs 6.23 crore in its first five days.
Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore are still running strong at the box office. Dream Girl also featuring Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Nishi Bisht is holding well and has raked in Rs 135.25 crore after finishing four weekends. Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore has garnered a total of Rs 142.35 crore after completing five weekends.
