It is time for one of the biggest cricketing events of the world, the ICC World Cup 2019. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, team India has seen some amazing highs in the recent past. This has made it one of the front runners for the trophy.
In a recent interview with a daily, Kohli credited wife Anushka Sharma for making him a better captain. He claimed that after tying the knot, he had improved as a leader. He said, “You become more responsible (after marriage). It’s very different from the responsibility you had in your life. You start understanding things much better and you start putting things into perspective a lot more."
He also added that he has become more responsible which helped him in his captaincy. He said that it had improved him as a human being and as a player as well.
India will begin its World Cup campaign on June 5 with its first match against South Africa. Coincidentally on the same day the Salman Khan starrer Bharat also hits the screens. Indian audiences indeed have a tough choice to make on that day!
