The final instalment of the Avengers series, Avengers: Endgame has left everyone speechless. The film which released on April 26, 2019 did wonders at the box office all across the globe.
Although the entire cast of the film was praised for their performances, it was Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark aka Iron Man, who won over the audience with his intense yet quirky character and of course, the line, ‘I Love You 3000’.
Talking about his performance in the film, his co-star Jon Favreau recently said that Downey Jr deserves to win the Oscar for this film. Favreau who has acted in several noted films and directed movies like The Jungle Book, Chef, the upcoming The Lion King and Iron Man as well as Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr himself, said in an interaction with the media, “He has my vote for sure. I think he was able to discover and explore dimensions of the character over the course of many, many films, which is a bit of its own category.”
He also added, “But I have to say that if you look at, especially how it began and how it ended in his performances between the first one and Endgame, there was a really thoughtful arc to the character, both in his performance and how all the filmmakers contributed to that character.”
While we shower love on Downey Jr’s Iron Man with his final appearance in Avengers: Endgame, it seems that he has his Happy Hogan on his side to root for him.
