Kabir Singh footfalls comparison: Week 1 v/s Week 2

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead has been rocking the box office since the day of its release. The film has been getting a lot of love from the audience and it has bagged Rs 229.04 crore post its third weekend in the theatres. Kabir Singh is the second highest grosser of 2019 among all the Hindi releases and is most likely to become the top grosser of 2019 post today's collections.

Kabir Singh had more people coming to cinema halls than any other film of this year as far as the first week is concerned. The footfalls were 72.54 per cent higher than that of URI: The Surgical Strike and 19.66 per cent higher than that of Bharat in top four cinema chains of India - PVR, Inox, Carnival and Cinepolis. Interestingly, Kabir Singh was quite steady at the ticket counters even in its second week; the week two footfalls had dropped by just 40 per cent as compared to week one. The table shows that the footfalls in week two were 58.76 per cent of week one in PVR, in INOX they were 58.86 per cent, in Carnival they were 55.03 per cent and in Cinepolis they were 59.58 per cent. The week two business of Kabir Singh was Rs 75.62 crore, which is 57.24 per cent of first week's business (Rs 132.11 crore).
