With a little bit of luck, a good film always performs well at the box office on its first weekend due to the holiday factor but the weekdays’ box office numbers play a huge role in deciding the overall fate of the film. Good numbers in the regular weekdays reflect the popularity of the film among the audience and Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh is an ultimate example of this.
Kabir Singh has had a surprising run in cinema halls since the day of its release. After an outstanding performance on its day one, the theatres had increased the number of shows allotted to the film. Post its successful first weekend, Kabir Singh sustained strongly at the box office on its Monday as well as Tuesday. The weekend earnings of the film were Rs 69.90 crore. On Monday the film collected Rs 17.08 crore and on Tuesday it collected Rs 16.23 crore.
Kabir Singh's day one numbers were a record breaker for Kapoor. Its day two collections were 10.19 per cent higher than day one and day three collections were 23.13 per cent higher than day two. As far as weekdays are concerned, there is just five per cent difference approximately in the numbers of Monday and Tuesday.
