We have usually seen that films that open on a holiday turn out to be major grossers at the box office. And the case for Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari that released during the festival of Holi last week is no different as it is performing wonders at the box office. It became the highest first day and first weekend grosser of 2019 and went on to do a business of Rs 77.35 crore after its first weekend.
Vasan Bala directorial Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, featuring Abhimanyu Dassani, Radhika Madan and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles failed to make a mark at the box office despite creating buzz at film festivals across the world. After its first weekend, the film earned just Rs 1 crore. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra starrer Photograph also disappointed at the box office as it earned Rs 1.07 crore after its first week.
Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s mystery thriller, Badla, is holding well and has clocked in Rs 69.49 crore over its third weekend. Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon is sustaining fairly well and has collected Rs 81.82 crore at the box office after its fourth weekend.
