This Friday saw the release of two films, Khandaani Shafakhana and Hollywood release Hobbs & Shaw. Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma and rapper Badshah starrer Khandaani Shafakhana had a slow start and garnered an underwhelming Rs 2.33 crore after its first weekend. The ninth instalment in the The Fast And The Furious franchise, Hobbs & Shaw, stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. The action film performed well across its first weekend and collected Rs 35.89 crore at the box office (all languages and versions included).
It has been quite a damp week for most films at the ticket counters. Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer JudgeMentall Hai Kya slowed down in its second weekend. The film, a refreshing take on mental health, garnered Rs 30.67 crore at the box office. Arjun Patiala that stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma, witnessed a disappointing performance and has raked in Rs 5.90 crore after its first week.
Super 30 is based on the ups and downs in the life of Anand Kumar, a mathematician from Bihar. Despite a rainy weekend, the Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur starrer has been doing well and has earned an amount of Rs 137.93 crore after its fourth weekend.
