The Lion King has been performing extraordinarily well at the box office throughout its first week run in India. There were high expectations from the film because of the strong buzz around it and it now became the second Hollywood film to cross the 100-crore mark after Avengers: Endgame in 2019. The film garnered Rs 105.57 crore at the box office in 10 days of its release.
Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King is the remake of the 1994 classic animated film of the same title. The film had a lot of hype before its release as the Hindi version of the film was dubbed by Shah Rukh Khan who voiced the character of King Mufasa and his son Aryan Khan who lent his voice for the character of Simba.
