Jon Favreau's The Lion King continues to sparkle at the box office even in its second week. On its second Monday and its second Tuesday at the ticket counters, the film garnered Rs 3.17 crore and Rs 2.92 crore respectively. There is a minimal drop of eight per cent from Monday to Tuesday. Apart from Mumbai and Delhi UP, The Lion King has been doing well in Nizam and Mysore circuits.
The Lion King, remake of the 1994 classic animated film, has been enjoying this remarkable run at the box office since the day of its release. It also became the second highest Hollywood grosser of 2019 and fourth highest Hollywood grosser of all-time. The film collected Rs 111.66 crore in 12 days at the cinema houses. The film collected Rs 52.77 crore in its first weekend, Rs 77.96 crore in the first week and Rs 27.61 crore in its second weekend.
