It is not new to Bengali actors parts of Bollywood projects. The latest to join is Rudranil Ghosh who recently shot with director Amit Sharma and Ajay Devgn.
Devgn kickstarted shooting for his next film Maidaan. You can read about it here. The film is based on football is set during the golden period of the sport in 1952-62.
In an interview with a leading daily, Rudranil spoke about his experience of working with Devgn. His first shot with the actor was an one-on-one shot and he was nervous working with him.
He said, “He speaks very little and smiles at times. He mostly kept busy with the script when he was not giving a shot. He’s also very calm and a very cooperative and helpful co-actor. I loved the experience of shooting with him and Amit sir. After my first shot, Amit sir came to me and said in Bengali, ‘Khub bhalo hoyeche; aro bhalo hobe.’ Who needs anything more?”
Maidaan is produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively. The film is presented by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor.
