The next couple of months will be a hectic time for Mammootty fans with the actor having as many as three releases from February to April.
The much-awaited Peranbu directed by Ram will hit theatres on February 1. This film marks Mammootty’s return to Tamil cinema after nearly a decade. His last release was Vandae Mataram which came out in 2009. The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the Asian premiere at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
Following Peranbu, Mammukka will be seen in the Telugu film Yatra. The film hits screens on February 8. The film is a biopic on former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. This movies marks the actor’s return to Tollywood after over two decades. The film also stars Suhasini Maniratnam and is directed by Mahi V Raghav.
While Peranbu will be released in Malayalam as well, Yatra will be screened in Malayalam as well as Tamil.
The next Mammootty movie to hits the screens will be in April for Vishu. The actor will be seen in an out and out commercial entertainer Madhuraraja. This will be his first Malayalam release of 2019. The film is directed by Vysakh and features a song with Sunny Leone as well.
