As per a source in reports, Babu Saini, Rani Mukerji have earlier worked together on several films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. When Saini presented her this portrait, Rani was very touched. He actually painted her in her Mardaani 2 look, a film that she is very proud of. She was overwhelmed and informed him that she will put this up in her house.
The film is a sequel to her 2014 critically acclaimed cop film Mardaani. The actress will once again be seen as tough cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 2, this time fighting a new battle. The movie is directed by Gopi Puthran, the writer of the previous film in the franchise. It is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
