Mission Mangal is second highest maiden weekend earner of 2019

This Independence Day's releases, Mission Mangal and Batla House, have been performing quite well at the box office since their first day in cinema houses. On day one, the Akshay Kumar-starrer and the John Abraham-strarrer minted Rs 29.16 crore and Rs 14.59 crore at the box office respectively. The films have been churning out good numbers on all the four days of the weekend. 

Mission Mangal and Batla House are among the top 10 grossers of 2019 as far as first weekend numbers are concerned. Mission Mangal stands at number two position after Bharat with Rs 95.22 crore and Batla House stands at ninth position with Rs 44.18 crore. However, if we look at all the holiday releases of 2019, Mission Mangal retains its second position while Batla House stands at sixth position after Kalank (Rs 62.47 crore).
