This Independence Day saw the release of two big films, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham starrer Batla House. Mission Mangal became the highest day-one grosser for Kumar. And looks like there’s no stopping it! The film has been performing phenomenally well at the box office and it has garnered a humongous Rs 158.59 crore after its second weekend.
Batla House is slowly racing ahead too. The film that became the second-highest opener in John Abraham's career has clocked in Rs 75.35 crore after its second weekend.
Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi has fizzled out at the box office. It has earned just Rs 16.23 crore in its second week.
Hollywood release Hobbs & Shaw, aThe Fast And The Furious franchise, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, has garnered Rs 69.32 crore after its third week at the box office (all languages and formats included).
Even in its sixth week, Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 is steady at the box office. It has been doing well and has earned Rs 146.70 crore after its sixth week.
