Occupancy in the morning shows of GOLD was 60-65 per cent. As the day proceeds, the figures will rise. A large number of families are coming to cinemas to watch this film. The reviews, audience response and word-of-mouth surrounding the film are very strong.  I expect it to rake in huge numbers all across the country.

Nothing can go wrong if a patriotic-themed film releases on August 15. Holidays are always a catalyst for any film. Moreover, Akshay Kumar enjoys a very loyal and massive fan base. Although the film ran 65 per cent full this morning, the numbers are sure to increase with subsequent shows. It has struck a chord with the audience.

Nitin Tambat, Programmer, Carnival

GOLD opened to about 60 per cent occupancy. Being a holiday, more and more people will turn up to watch this film in the evening and at night. Advance bookings are rising steadily. The reports and reviews about the film are very positive. It has very strong content as well. The film is leading in Tier I cities.

The morning shows ran 60 per cent full and the afternoon shows saw a jump in occupancy. The night shows will witness a further increase. We are hopeful that the film will do very well today. Advance booking is good. The clash will not impact its performance either. Let us see what happens tomorrow!

Yogesh Raizada, Programmer, Wave

Occupancy in the morning shows of GOLD at my chain was around 70 per cent. The movie is performing very well in multiplexes and A-class centres. Akshay Kumar’s star value is driving in a huge number of families to theatres. Advance booking looks great for the evening and night shows. The reports of the film are positive.

Amit Sharma, Programmer, Miraj

The clash with Satyameva Jayate has not hampered the collections of GOLD at all. The film saw 40-45 per cent occupancy in the morning shows. Akshay Kumar is a brand and people are flocking to theatres to watch him. I expect the film to gross Rs 38 lakh at my properties today. Pan-India, it is likely to earn Rs 18 crore today. The film is leading in A-class cities. From the advance booking, it is clear that the film will continue to lead.
