Nakkash has won big at India International Film Festival of Boston, USA. The movie is directed by Zaigham Imam which stars Inaamulhaq as the lead role. He has won two awards in the Best Actor and Best Director categories at the prestigious film festival.
The film was screened at IIFFB, USA on September 14. It depicts the story of an artist named Alla Rakha Siddiqui, who is a widower living with his only son Mohammad in Varanasi.
Abhayanand Singh, CEO of the Golden ratio films said, "The success, in getting through the message of the film across tells us that it is high time that we can actually talk about such things in the open and get some good Cinema on such offbeat topics too. It is indeed a great achievement and we are glad to have contributed to this movie in some way."
Speaking about this achievement, Director Zaigham Imam said, “I thank the audience and the festival team for the honour and acknowledging the film like Nakkash. This appreciation is a positive hint that this is the high time to raise and talk about such social issue for the betterment of the society.”
Talking about the film Inaamulhaq said, “When you do something with a sense of responsibility, it doesn’t remain within the boundaries of a country. I am glad that people around the globe are recognizing our voice towards humanity".
The Nakkash team unveiled the first look of the film at India Pavilion, at 71st Cannes Film Festival.
Nakkash is produced by Pawan Tiwari, Govind Goyal and Zaigham Imam and presented by the Golden ration films.
