Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (SKTKS), which released in 2018 and became an instant hit, changed the career courses of its actors. While Kartik Aaryan has become Bollywood’s blue-eyed boy, lead actress Nushrat Bharucha has some big films in her kitty. Recently, in an interview to a publication, she shared that while she was travelling, a co-passenger in her flight told her that he was watching SKTKS for the fifth time and was still enjoying it.
She also said that the film changed her life as film offers are pouring in. “This year, I have two releases: Turram Khan and Dream Girl, and they will come out back-to-back, I guess. I mean this is the first time that two of my films are releasing in the same year. Otherwise, it used to be one film in two years. So, the maths and equations have definitely changed for better. And I am getting interesting offers too.”
Nushrat spilled beans on collaborating with Rajkummar Rao and director Hansal Mehta for Turram Khan and her character in the film. “Rajkummar is a good actor and I had always wanted to collaborate with him. Hansal sir creates a different world and I have enjoyed watching his earlier films. I am enjoying the process that he follows to bring out the character he wants out of an actor. My role is that of a small town girl, and the character is as real as it can get. For a change there is no plotting and planning.”
Regarding Dream Girl where is paired opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, she said, “This film has a completely different spectrum.”
Reportedly, the actress will also be seen in a special dance number in Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaavaan.
