Prasanna is all set to make his Malayalam debut in Kalabhavan Shajohn’s Brother’s Day which stars Prithviraj in the lead role. The actor has worked very hard for the film. He has become fluent in Malayalam as well.
In an interview with a leading daily, Prasanna talked about how he learned Malayalam and what he thinks about the industry. He knew a Malayali family in Chennai and it was from them that he got the book Learn Malayalam in 30 Days."That’s how I started myaksharabhyasam. I also had a lot of Malayali friends, who referred me Malayalam films and I also began watching Malayalam channels to try and pick up the slangs. So, just when I was learning the language, Lohi sir (director Lohitadas) was planning to remake Kasthuri Maan in Tamil and I got to be part of that, and I also worked in Siddique sir’s Sadhu Mirandaal, which also had Kavya Madhavan. So, I have been constantly working with Malayalam actors. Navya Nair made her Tamil debut with me in Azhagiya Theeye.”
Even though he learnt Malayalam and was fluent, his debut didn't happen until now. Talking about the delay Prasanna said, "By the time I got fluent in Malayalam, I also turned busy in Tamil and never had a chance to go back to Kochi and meet people there. However, the thought of doing a Malayalam film was always there in my heart.”
