Today, veteran actress Vidya Sinha passed away at the age of 71 in Mumbai. The yesteryear artiste was hospitalized last week as she suffered from lung and heart disorders. It was said that she was to be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days but there was sudden deterioration in her health.
Sinha started her career at the age of 18 with modeling. She then shifted to Hindi feature films and made her debut with the classic film, Rajinigandha. Post that she went on to star in films like Chhoti Si Baat and Pati Patni Aur Woh. She took a sabbatical from the film industry and was last seen in the Salman Khan-starrer Bodyguard.
She was also part of some popular TV shows over the years, like Kkavyanjali, Qubool Hai and the latest show, Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala.
Vidya Sinha is survived by her daughter Jhanvi.
