After Kaala's release, Rajinikanth directly jumped into his next film. The shooting for the Karthik Subbaraj directorial is underway at brisk pace, with the first scheulde wrapping up a few days back. Rajnikanth recently returned form the shoot, which was happening in Dehradun. And from what we hear, the next schedule will take off in Chennai and is expected to begin from August 10. It will reportedly be happening in EVP Studios and a set resembling the city of Madurai is being constructed for this shoot. Vijay Sethupathi will also be a part of the next shooting scheulde, but that's not the only good news that we heard! We also got some insight into Rajinikanth's character and we have to say it is nothing you expected!
It has been reported that Rajni will be playing a character that will showcase the actor as a hostel warden by day and a don by night. So clearly, it will have the class Rajni, which we saw in Kaala as well as the much loved mass Rajni as well. Well choreographed fight scenes are a definite draw for Rajni fans and hence, the makers are planning to have three massive action sequences.
After the Chennai schedule the team will be moving to Lucknow to shoot some important scenes and will wrap up by the end of the year or early next year. Produced by Sun Pictures, the yet-to-be titled film also has Simran and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as part of the cast. Music for the film is composed by Anirudh. The film will hit the screens next year. In the meantime, stay tuned to Box Office India as we get you all the updates from down South right here.
