As Bhallaladeva in Baahubali, Rana Daggubati became a national phenomenon. Though he had done a few films in Hindi and Tamil, besides Telugu, it was this character that made him a household name all over the country. So it is no surprise that the actor is sought after by other film indsutries as well.
It is heard that he has been approached to star in a Kannada film to be directed by AMR Ramesh. Known for his hard hitting realistic films like Cyanide, Ramesh seems to have approached Rana with a film which the actor has reportedly green-lighted. The story which is said to be about naxalites is expected go on floors in January next year.
While we await for official confirmation on the news, Rana Daggubati will continue to make his presence in other language films. He will be seen in a cameo appearance in the Gautham Menon film Ennai Noki Paayum Thota starring Dhanush in the lead role. He has also signed ot plat the role of Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the NTR biopic starring Balakrishna and Vidya Balan.
