Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, the lead pair of the film Anjaana Anjaani, releasing on October 1, along with producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros International, have joined the campaign to fight piracy along with the Alliance Against Copyright Theft (AACT), a coalition between Bollywood and Hollywood studios to fight film piracy in India. The stars of the movie have been urging movie-goers to watch the film in cinema halls and refrain from buying/downloading pirated copies.
As part of the campaign, Ranbir and Priyanka are also asking people to ‘AACT to stop piracy’ by reporting piracy-related incidents on the toll-free number – 1800 103 1919 – launched by AACT to involve the public to curb piracy. They have also recorded messages for their fans educating them about the toll-free number. Ranbir and Priyanka will also soon be seen in an anti-piracy film conceptualised by AACT to create greater awareness of the initiative.
