Since the announcement of Dayal Padmanabhan's film Ranganayaki, it created a lot of buzz as it borrows its name from Puttanna Kanagal's classic film. And when Dayal announced the complete name of the film Ranganayaki: Volume 1 - Virginity, it created a lot more controversy. But now with the release of the trailer, there has been positive talk around the film.
Starring Aditi Prabhudeva in the lead role, the film is about how a rape victim deals with the situations arising after the incident. In an interview with a leading daily, the director talking about the film said, "It is about women empowerment, in which the girl does not inflict the pain of victimhood on herself but deals with it pragmatically."
