Ranveer Singh was last seen in the Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy, where he played the lead opposite Alia Bhatt. The film garnered success at the box office. The star is shooting in the UK for his upcoming film '83, a film based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup match.
As per the reports in a daily, the Simmba star will be meeting his UK fans in a special event held at the Arena stadium in Birmingham. At the event he will talk about his journey in the Hindi film industry and how he became a star from a Bandra boy. “The actor has become one of the biggest stars in the industry today. When he was approached with the idea, he was thrilled to share his story and inspire his fans,” the report says.
Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83 is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020. Ranveer will be seen as Kapil Dev on the big screen and Deepika Padukone will portray the role of Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the film.
